I have just returned from a 2 week holiday to the beautiful island of Dominica in the Carribbean (not Dominican Republic) please consult your world map.

I had a wonderful time. I went jogging on the sea front, with the waves lapping on the shore lines enjoying sights such as green mountains and lovely crystal clear rivers.  The people are extremely friendly with most people greeting me as I run past them.

I was there for the celebration of independence and had a funfilled time.  I was completely knackared (tired).  I danced the night away for the whole week listening to various artists performing.  

The wonderful thing about the Carribbean is that people are not so self obsessed with weight and age. Young and old, fat and slim all mingled and enjoyed themselves.  I lost all sense of self consciousness and felt a definite freedom.  I had little time to worry about the pressures of life living in a City like London.

In Dominica everything is done at a snails pace and therefore everyone seem to be so relaxed.  I found it difficult to adjust at first but then got into the habit. 

I had the pleasure of having breakfast whilst watching the sun rise and dinner, whilst watching the sun set. It was absolutely lovely.  I took a tour of the whole island and was amazed to finally recognise that this island is an absolute paradise.

No congested streets nor pollution. I felt safe to wander  the streets at all hours of the night and I did.  We slept with our doors unlocked and opened as the weather was very warm.  Believe me, I was scared but my friend assured me that it is perfectly safe to do so.  What a paradise!!!!!!

Unfortunately I am back in London and back to the rat race.  Now where is that lottery ticket!!!!!!!!! PARADISE BEACONS :>
