Hi my name is Rainstar, I am from Dominica The Nature Island of the Caribbean. I am a Kalinago Indian born in the village of Salyibia, Kalinago Reservation. I am a pilot and love aviation with a passion. My dream was always to fly, I love it with every part of my body. In 1998 I got the chance of a lifetime to build an airplane in Dominica with a retired Swedish airline Pilot Daniel Rundstrom. The project took about 3-4 yrs in total and several thousands of hours. A German film crew made a documentary " Celebration of Flight" showing our journey building a two seater in the mountains of Dominica in a small village of Cochrane. The airplane was named after me. My favorite music genre's are ie Classical, Reggae, Arab singers like Nancy Ajram and new age music like Yanni also Latin music ie Ricky Martin. I love listening to romantic music sung by Celine Dion, Beyonce, Michael Bolton and many others. I left my home country of Dominica in 2004 to pursue my dream of being an airline pilot I have traveled to many cities and two countries USA, Canada. Thanks to all my family, friends, sponsors who helped me achieve my dream. Much love to you all and looking back I enjoyed every bit of it. I missed home, family, friends but it was an adventure having my own apartment! Wild college parties, haha, lol.
I am attending First Nations Technical Institute in Canada. I have my Private Pilots, Commercial Pilots license. I am now training for my Multi Engine \ Instrument rating. I will be graduating in June 2010 then its off to find a job.
My dream job is to work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for Emirates Airlines, I will get my first job flying turboprops for a US\Canadian Regional airline like flying a Bombardier Dash 8. My ultimate goal is meet a young beautyful girl to fall in love with and share life with. I have not met the right person yet. I still have hope.

I am interested in Traveling. I have traveled to USA, Canada, Caribbean, South America, Europe. I would love to travel to Europe for a few months to see the people, food, culture.

everybody, Happy New Year 2009, once again time has zoomed by. At the end of January I got a surprise email from the Director of Lombardo Films asking me to visit Munich, Germany for one week. I leave Toronto, Canada flying Air Canada to Munich Germany on Feb 15 and return on the 22nd. This trip is not a vacation but a public relations job to promote the documentary feature film Celebration of Flight about myself and Daniel Rundstrom building N257DR Vans RV 8 plane in the small island of Dominica. Our journey over 4 years and the hopes, dreams, challenges we faced on this project. I have been invited to speak to a group of Montessori school kids with theme Achieving Your Dreams, promoting Dominica and this inspiring story. I would like to thank all my family, friends who have helped me be successful and achieve my goal of being a pilot. Canada has offered me the chance to compete my aviation education, I am thankful for this. This trip is coming as unexpected but exciting for my first trip to Europe. I am excited to speak to young people about my experiences, hope to have a positive impact on their lives. I have yet to write a speech but right now concentrating on preparing for my Commercial Written exam which I am writting this month the first step in becoming a Commercial pilot. I have gotten used to the Canadian winter with snow and temperatures of -20 C. I will take lots of photos and will add them to my personal Hi5 page.
